2 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers guard James Harden has decided to decline his $47.4 million player option. Sixers fans don't need to worry because Harden does plan to return next season. In fact, Harden is declining the player option in order to give the team more financial flexibility. The idea behind this is the give the 76ers front office more money in order to upgrade their bench. Clearly, Harden believes this team can go all the way, assuming they boost their team slightly. This pass-first and shoot second Harden has worked well in Philly.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
