Spurs Tender Qualifying Offer To Lonnie Walker IV
2 years agoThe Spurs have extended a $6.3 million qualifying offer to forward Lonnie Walker IV. He will now be a restricted free agent, so San Antonio can match any offer he receives from teams around the league. The 23-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, averaging 12.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. Nevertheless, after Dejounte Murray was traded to Atlanta, Walker could receive a bump in production if he remains in San Antonio. However, there is talk the Spurs aren't looking to keep him, although he still may carve out a consistent role wherever he ends up in 2022-23.
