2 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani had a dominant outing against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. He pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just five hits and one walk while recording 11 strikeouts. This was his fifth double-digit strikeout game of the year. Ohtani was simply fantastic on the mound throughout June. He closed out the month with three straight scoreless outings and he had a month-long ERA of just 1.52. The 27-year-old currently has a 33% strikeout rate on the year, which ranks in the 93rd percentile of the league and is a significant increase from last year's 29.3% strikeout rate.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
