2 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates activated infielder Tucupita Marcano from the COVID-19 injured list on Thursday. In a corresponding move, fellow infielder Yu Chang was designated for assignment. Marcano has split the 2022 season between Double-A and the majors. He's appeared in 19 games with the Pirates this year and has slashed .262/.318/.410 with two home runs, five RBI and nine runs. He has a chance to push Hoy Park for the everyday second baseman role on the team. Otherwise, he may end up as a utility man.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
