Tyler Stephenson Could Return In 7-10 Days
2 years agoCincinnati Reds skipper David Bell said that catcher Tyler Stephenson (thumb) could be back from the injured list within seven to 10 days. He will hit live batting practice on Friday, and the next step after that will be a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville. The 25-year-old backstop needs to be stashed in all fantasy formats, as he was hitting a strong .305/.361/.468 with an .829 OPS, five home runs, 31 RBI, 21 runs scored and a stolen base in 141 at-bats before his injury. He's been on the shelf since June 9 due to a fractured right thumb, so hopefully he can pick up where he left off offensively for his fantasy managers. Aramis Garcia has done most of the catching for the Reds with Stephenson out of action.
