2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola didn't have his best outing against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday, but he did enough to earn his fifth win of the season. He pitched seven innings and allowed seven hits, one walk and four earned runs while recording eight strikeouts. Luckily for Nola, the Phillies were all over Braves starter Ian Anderson in the game and the team wound up putting up 14 runs on the day. Nola is now 5-5 with a 3.13 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP on the year. He's currently maintaining a career-best 8.4 K/BB ratio, up significantly from his career K/BB ratio of 4.1. The 29-year-old will make his next start next Wednesday against the Washington Nationals.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
