2 years agoKansas City Royals second baseman/outfielder Whit Merrifield helped the team defeat the Detroit Tigers 3-1 on Friday. He went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in the game. He was 1-for-2 in stolen base attempts in the game and now has 12 stolen bases over 75 games on the year. It's been a disappointing season for the 33-year-old veteran so far. He's slashing .230/.280/.315 with just three home runs on the season. His name has come up heavily in trade rumors lately and there's a good chance he could benefit from a change of scenery.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
