2 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman had a rough outing in his return to the mound on Saturday. He entered Game 1 of the team's doubleheader against the Cleveland Guardians in the seventh inning and walked all three batters he faced prior to being removed from the game. He wound up being charged for two earned runs on the day. The 34-year-old missed about five weeks due to a left Achilles injury. While Yankees manager Aaron Boone has stated that Chapman will be seeing high leverage situations once again, Chapman's performance on Saturday makes Boone's claim seem a bit dubious. Clay Holmes should retain a firm hold on the ninth inning role for the foreseeable future.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
