3 years agoCincinnati Reds shortstop Kyle Farmer (hand) was lifted from Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves. He was hit in his hand by a 100 mph fastball from Braves starter Spencer Strider. Matt Reynolds came on to run for Farmer after the incident. Farmer is coming off of a productive June in which he slashed .333/.398/.425 with one home run, 14 RBI and nine runs scored. He owns a .284/.344/.415 slash line on the season to go along with five homers, four stolen bases, 39 RBI and 27 runs. We should have an update on the status of his hand shortly.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
