3 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Jared Walsh is absent from the starting lineup for Sunday's game against left-hander Framber Valdez on Sunday. David MacKinnon will be covering first base and batting eighth in the game. The left-handed Walsh has hit a respectable .257/.288/.400 against lefties this year, which has allowed him to remain in the lineup against most southpaws. He struggled immensely over the first two games of this weekend's series, going 0-for-7 with five strikeouts, so Sunday's off day could be a good opportunity for him to reset.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
