3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against right-hander Chad Kuhl and the Colorado Rockies. Marte has been relegated to designated hitter duties lately, but Cooper Hummel will be slotting in as designated hitter for Sunday's game. Marte went 2-for-4 in Saturday's game and hit his fifth home run of the year. The 28-year-old has certainly been underwhelming at the plate thus far in 2022. He currently owns a .264/.351/.424 slash line and his underlying metrics don't look much better. He has a .381 xSLG as well as a 42% hard-hit rate, down from 48.4% last year.
