Oklahoma City Waives Isaiah Roby
2 years agoThe Oklahoma City Thunder have moved on from center Isaiah Roby, who started 62 games over the past two seasons. Roby was limited by injuries last year, but he ultimately averaged 10.1 points and 4.8 rebounds over 45 contests. A second-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Roby benefited from a thin Thunder frontcourt, which has recently been bolstered by the selection of Chet Holmgren, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is likely to serve as Holmgren's primary backup, while Roby will be free to sign with a new team moving forward.
