Jean Segura Takes Grounders On Tuesday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder Jean Segura (finger) was out on the field taking ground balls prior to the team's game against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday. However, he was not throwing the ball. Segura, who underwent surgery on his broken right index finger about a month ago, recently had pins removed from his finger. When he first landed on the injured list, he was given a timetable of 10 to 12 weeks and that has remained the target. The 32-year-old veteran was off to a solid start to the year prior to the injury. Over 44 games, he slashed .275/.324/.407 with six home runs, eight stolen bases, 19 RBI and 22 runs. Stay tuned for further updates as he continues to ramp up his activities.
