2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays transferred second baseman Brandon Lowe (back) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list on Tuesday. The move was made to clear a 40-man roster spot for infielder Yu Chang. Lowe has been out since May 16 due to a lower back injury. His move to the 60-day injured list isn't a cause for concern as it doesn't change his timeline. It just means that he officially won't be able to return until mid-July at the earliest. Lowe doesn't have a clear return timeline at this point, but appears to still be about a few weeks away. He has recently begun facing live pitching. The big recovery milestone for him will be once he receives a rehab assignment. Expect more updates on his status and projected timeline soon.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
