Damian Lillard Agrees To Hefty Extension
2 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard agreed to a two-year, $122 million contract extension, potentially keeping him on the roster through the 2026-27 campaign. The multi-time All-Star has been an MVP-caliber player, averaging 24.6 points, 6.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.0 steals while shooting 37.3% from deep throughout his career. He missed 53 games last season due to abdominal surgery. However, Lillard feels the time off did his body and mind some good, so he should be back to full strength (or close to it) by training camp. Nonetheless, the injury may cause the 31-year-old to slide during fantasy drafts. But as long as he stays healthy, he will remain one of the most potent fantasy options on the planet.
