2 years agoFree-agent forward/center Taj Gibson is expected to sign with the Wizards. Gibson was released by the Knicks on Friday, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting the veteran will be on his way to D.C. once he clears waivers on Sunday. The 37-year-old isn't the force he used to be, although he averaged an acceptable 5.3 points and 5.3 rebounds throughout four starts in New York last season. Nonetheless, Gibson likely won't receive consistent work in Washington in 2022-23.
