2 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (back) made his first rehab start at Triple-A Worcester on Sunday. He pitched three innings and allowed five hits, no walks and two earned runs while striking out four. Despite the mediocre results, Eovaldi stated after the start that he believed he was ready to return to the majors. He said that all the contact he gave up other than a home run was soft contact and he was happy that he didn't yield any walks. He added, "I know it's been a quick ramp up, but I feel really good. I know what I need to work on and accomplish. I think I'm ready if they say something." While no official word has been given yet, there's a chance we see Eovaldi make his next start for the Red Sox this coming Friday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
