Brooks Raley Picks Up Save Tuesday
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Brooks Raley earned his fifth save of the season Tuesday, holding the Boston Red Sox to one walk in an inning of work while striking out two batters. Raley has been very effective this season, with a 3.04 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 37 strikeouts in 26 2/3 innings. As ever, the Rays continue to use a committee in the back end of the bullpen, with Colin Poche, Jason Adam, and others representing the main competition for saves. Raley shouldn't find his way to too many fantasy rosters, but he's worth a look if a few more opportunities come his way.
