2 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Paul Sewald allowed one run on two hits while striking out three across an inning to earn the save during Game 2 of Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Washington Nationals. He also picked up the save in Game 1 of Wednesday's 6-4 win by recording the final out in the ninth inning. The 32-year-old picked up two saves in Wednesday's doubleheader and has 12 on the season. He is locked in as Seattle's primary closer, posting a 2.60 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts over 34 2/3 innings. Sewald should be rostered in all leagues and will continue to handle ninth-inning duties for Seattle while he's pitching well.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
