2 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Frankie Montas (shoulder) is set to throw an "aggressive bullpen" session on Saturday, according to A's manager Mark Kotsay. Assuming all goes well, he is expected to return to the rotation after the All-Star break and the team is eyeing Thursday's doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers for his return. Montas is dealing with right shoulder inflammation and he hasn't pitched since July 3. The 29-year-old owns a 3.26 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP on the season.
