2 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have placed second baseman Trevor Story (hand) on the 10-day injured list with a right hand contusion. The team called up catcher Connor Wong in a corresponding move. Story was hit on his right hand by a pitch during this past Tuesday's game and he hasn't played since. X-rays came back negative, but his hand clearly hasn't fully healed quite yet. The move to the injured list is retroactive to July 13, meaning he will be first eligible to come off the injured list next Saturday. In the meantime, fellow middle infielder Jeter Downs should continue to strike out in his place.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
