2 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Dany Jimenez (shoulder) is set to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday. This will be his first bullpen session since landing on the injured list with a right shoulder strain in mid-June. A's manager Mark Kotsay stated that Jimenez will begin a rehab assignment "when he's ready." Translation: we still don't have much of a timeline for the 28-year-old. Jimenez emerged as the team's top closer early on this year. He converted each of his first 10 save chances from the start of the season until late May, but he fell apart after that. He gave up a total of 11 earned runs over his final 6.1 innings prior to landing on the injured list, blowing two saves and accumulating three losses along the way.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
