2 years agoThe Detroit Tigers selected second baseman Jace Jung out of Texas Tech with the 12th overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft. The 21-year-old was named the Big 12 Conference player of the year in 2021 after compiling 21 homers, 67 RBI and 55 runs to go along with a .337/.462/.697 slash line. He put together another fantastic season at the plate in 2022, slashing .335/.481/.612 with 14 homers. His plate discipline was fantastic in 2022 as he walked 59 times while striking out just 42 times. The left-handed hitting Jung is the younger brother of Josh Jung, who is a third base prospect in the Texas Rangers organization.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
