2 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have yet to lock up star third baseman Rafael Devers to a long-term deal. According to Alex Speier of the Boston Globe, as the two sides were in contract talks prior to the season, the Red Sox were viewing Matt Olson's eight-year, $168 million deal as a potential model for a Devers deal. The 25-year-old has one more year on his current contract after this year. He is set to enter free agency prior to the 2024 season unless he and the Red Sox can come to terms on an extension.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
