Andrew Nembhard Gets Surprising Deal
2 years agoIndiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard signed a surprisingly large deal with the organization on Wednesday. The No. 31 pick will get a four-year deal worth $8.6 million. Nembhard will get $6.4 million guaranteed, which is the most ever for a player selected in the second round. The 22-year-old looked fairly decent during five Summer League games. Despite that, Nembhard should be the third-string point guard in Indiana. Stud guard Tyrese Haliburton will get the majority of the minutes, with T.J. McConnell backing him up. Nembhard could get a few minutes off the bench, but it's unlikely to be enough to warrant rostering him in fantasy.
