Dane Dunning Set To Return Next Week
2 years agoTexas Rangers right-hander Dane Dunning (ankle) is scheduled to return from the injured list to start against the Seattle Mariners next Tuesday. Dunning landed on the injured list on July 11 with a right ankle impingement, but the injury wasn't very serious and he'll be back in the minimum 15 days. The 27-year-old has gone 1-6 on the season with a 4.42 ERA and 1.42 WHIP while walking 37 and striking out 84 in 95 2/3 innings over his 18 starts, so he hasn't exactly been reliable for fantasy managers in deeper leagues. Even though he may not have any restrictions in his return to the starting rotation next week, fantasy managers should be looking to avoid him against the red-hot Mariners on the road.
