2 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez was activated from the 10-day injured list prior to the team's doubleheader against the New York Yankees on Thursday. The 25-year-old sure didn't need any time to shake the rust off. He was out of the starting lineup for the first game of the doubleheader, but he appeared as a pinch-hitter and walked in his only plate appearance. Then, in Game 2, he was included in the starting lineup and he went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored. Alvarez missed about a week of action due to right hand inflammation. He's played in 77 games so far this year and he's slashed .309/.408/.665 with 27 home runs, 63 RBI and 59 runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
