2 years agoKansas City Royals rookie shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup on Monday against the Los Angeles Angels. Witt left the game early on Sunday and will miss the series opener on Monday against the Angels as a result. Fantasy managers should consider the 22-year-old to be day-to-day for now. Nicky Lopez will play shortstop on Monday and hit ninth against Angels right-hander Noah Syndergaard. Lopez is hitting .252/.302/.304 on the season with seven stolen bases in 89 games, but he has just five home runs in his four major league seasons and still hasn't cleared the fences in 2022.
