2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (shoulder) had a rough outing in his rehab start at Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday. He pitched four innings and allowed two hits, three walks and four earned runs while striking out six. He was tagged for two home runs in the game. This has been the only hiccup in an otherwise smooth rehab stint for the 34-year-old. Over his previous three outings, he had surrendered just one unearned run across 8.2 innings. While the team hasn't made it official yet, it's likely that deGrom's next start will be in the majors, either next Monday or next Tuesday against the Washington Nationals. The team should have an update on its plans for deGrom soon.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
