Keith Mitchell Has Something To Play For At TPC Southwind
2 years agoKeith Mitchell starts the FedEx Cup playoffs in the 37th spot in the rankings, just seven spots out of a spot in the Tour Championship. Getting into the final event of the season will take a couple of good weeks, and that starts in Memphis at TPC Southwind. In his career, Mitchell is still looking for a breakout performance at TPC Southwind. Mitchell has two top-40 finishes in his career at the course in his only two starts. The reason for this could be his approach inconsistency. Once again, Mitchell finds himself outside the top 100 in strokes gained on approach, but he has made a massive improvement from last season. In 2020-21, Mitchell ranked 164th on tour in strokes gained on approach. This season, Mitchell sits 128th. Last week, Mitchell hit over 80% of greens, which he will need to do again this week. However, at his DFS price, anything better than a made cut will pay off for Mitchell.
