Hey, y'all! Busy times at my day job has kept me from posting WNBA DFS picks for the last couple of weeks, but I couldn't miss today, since we've got a full six-game slate on the final day of the WNBA season. Playoff spots are up for grabs. Seeding is at stake. It's a huge day of women's basketball.
If you're new here, this is our (mostly) daily look at the WNBA from a DFS perspective. Each day, I recommend three forwards and three guards who you should be considering for your daily fantasy lineups. Why listen to RotoBaller over the other sites? Because I live and breathe women's hoops. This isn't just something I'm doing because the NBA isn't in season.
In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/14/22. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 8/14/2022 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward
Sylvia Fowles (Minnesota Lynx) - @ CON - DK: $9,900, FD: $8,000
This is it: the final regular season game for Sylvia Fowles.
Fowles has long been one of the WNBA's best centers. And I'm talking about "all-time best" centers, not just "one of the best in the league right now."
But this could be the last time we see her on a basketball court. Of the teams currently out of the postseason, Atlanta needs the most help to get in, as they need two other games to go their way, plus they have to win this one.
This means that the Lynx will need to do whatever they can to win this game. And that likely means getting the ball to Fowles and letting her work in the paint. I expect a double-double and not just something like an 11 and 10 that's barely a double-double.
Brionna Jones (Connecticut Sun) - vs MIN - DK: $7,700, FD: $5,700
Jones, who is well on her way to winning Sixth Player of the Year, is coming off of a strong showing in her last game, with 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting with eight rebounds while playing just 18 minutes.
Heading into the season finale, I think we could see a little more of Jones. The Sun have a playoff spot clinched and might not want to exhaust Jonquel Jones by having her defend Fowles all game, so we could see 25ish minutes of Jones, who should continue to score in double figures and then add in some rebounds and steals as well.
Monique Billings (Atlanta Dream) - @ NY - DK: $7,100, FD: $5,000
Billings returned on Friday after missing around a month with an ankle injury.
She played just 15 minutes in that first game, scoring four points on 1-for-2 shooting. But she also pulled down nine rebounds and dished out a couple of assists.
Billings should continue to see her minutes ramp up in this must-win game, as she's probably Atlanta's best available frontcourt player after Cheyenne Parker. Could be a sneaky double-double pick, as she came close to one three games in a row before her injury.
WNBA DFS Picks: Guard
Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty) - vs ATL - DK: $11,100, FD: $8,700
The situation for the Liberty is simple: beat the Dream and you're in the playoffs.
And if there's one player who is up to that task and will go out there and just steamroll the other team to make it happen, it's Sabrina Ionescu.
Ionescu might be the most confident player in the league. She goes out there and knows she can do anything. On Friday against the Dream, Ionescu finished with 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting with eight rebounds and six assists. Last week, she had 32 points and seven rebounds against Dallas.
This is a player who can do anything. She's already tied the all-time record for career triple-doubles in the WNBA despite playing just two full seasons.
Diamond DeShields (Phoenix Mercury) - vs CHI - DK: $8,100, FD: $5,000
No Diana Taurasi. No Skylar Diggins-Smith. Where will the Mercury turn for offense?
We should see plenty of Sophie Cunningham shooting the ball, but I think DeShields is just a way better value.
Against the Wings on Friday, DeShields was 10-for-21 from the floor with 24 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Over the last three games, Phoenix has needed to rely more and more on DeShields, and in two of those three games, she responded with a big scoring outburst.
And in the game in this span where she didn't shoot well, she added in 10 assists. So even on a poor shooting night, DeShields could pay off.
Veronica Burton (Dallas Wings) - @ LA - DK: $5,900, FD: $4,500
With Arike Ogunbowale out, Burton has been getting more minutes. She hasn't necessarily been consistently doing a ton with those minutes, but there have been enough flashes for me to play her as a value play.
Two games ago against New York, Burton played 22 minutes. She was 4-for-5 for 15 points, with one rebound, four assists, and one block. Another night like that at this salary would be great to see, and I don't think it's that impossible. The Wings have clinched their playoff spot and seed, so might as well play a bench player like Burton more than usual, right?
