2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (oblique) underwent an MRI on Tuesday morning and the exam revealed a low-grade left oblique strain. The expectation for now is that he will be sidelined for three-to-four weeks. Carrasco was removed from his start on Monday due to the injury. His next scheduled start was for this coming Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies. It's likely we'll see either David Peterson or Trevor Williams fill in for him on Saturday and remain in the team's rotation while Carrasco is out. The 35-year-old has had a solid year for the Mets, pitching to a 3.92 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP across 23 starts.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
