ANALYSIS: Jared Cook is one of those guys who seems to put up decent numbers pretty consistently, with a couple real stinkers thrown in. That's the impression most seem to have of him at least. So far in his 2015 campaign, Jared Cook has been graded out as the eighth best tight end in terms of his pure receiving performance. Unfortunately his pass blocking, run blocking, and penalties ratings are all in the negatives. This probably doesn't help him stay on the field as much as his owners would like, but the Rams know what they have in him, and the honest truth is he is one of their top receiving weapons. While Nick Foles and company may not inspire much confidence as far as putting numbers on the board go, opportunity is opportunity. Cook and the gang get to feast on Pittsburgh's terrible pass coverage unit (-14.3 rating on PFF, the worst) in a game that should see plenty of scoring according to Vegas (lines hovering around 47-48). Cook's long term outlook is going to be frustrating, but he is the Rams' leading receiver, he has a two touchdown game in him somewhere, and this week's tilt against the Steelers is going to be as good a chance at it as he'll get. If you need a tight end and Cook is out there, especially in a PPR league, don't just scroll on past him.
