ANALYSIS: Lorenzo Taliaferro was seen as an intriguing handcuff option last year for Justin Forsett owners, with strong flashes in a few games. Taliaferro entered 2015 injured and missed Week 1, but this past week he came back and got some goal line work, punching one in. To be fair, it was a game against the Raiders and there were plenty of points to go around, but this cannot be ignored. Taliaferro averaged 4.9 YPC (seven rushes for 34 yards) and even chipped in with three receptions (for 12 yards). These are not paltry numbers. If you've got a rather deep bench and want to speculate on running backs, but the flashier pickups are already scooped up, Taliaferro is a good one.
Week 3 is going to be tough sledding against a strong Cincinnati Bengals defense, but after that Baltimore has three good matchups. He'll get the Steelers, Browns, and 49ers in Weeks 4-6. You can do a lot worse for a "bye week blues" fill in than Taliaferro. He should provide 6-10 touches with goal line work as a floor. In deeper leagues, that is absolutely worth a bye week flex spot.
