Marvin Jones (WR, CIN) - Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 52% of Fleaflicker Leagues

ANALYSIS: Marvin Jones has shown flashes of relevance in past years, but Jones’ own inconsistencies (which may speak more to how inconsistent Andy Dalton and the Bengals have been in the past in general) have held him back from anyone’s circle of trust.

The Cincinnati Bengals are undeniably legitimate in 2015. Dalton is one of the best quarterbacks right now and he has plenty of weapons to choose from on any given play. The woes brought on by inconsistencies of the past are not relevant today. While Marvin Jones may not be a shiny name like A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, or even Giovani Bernard, he sure is putting up numbers that need to be rostered.

He finished Sunday's game at Buffalo with 12 targets (!) for nine receptions, 95 yards and an acrobatic touchdown.

The Bengals are heading into their bye week, so if you don't have a free roster spot to stash Jones with, he will understand, but he will punish those who overlook him later. The Bengals face the Browns, Steelers, and Texans when they come out of their bye, which are three very exploitable defenses.
