ANALYSIS: Rodgers hasn’t scored since Week 4, and his ownership levels have reflected a mellowing out on the Rodgers’ hype. The horrible showing for the Green Bay Packers against the strong Denver Broncos’ defense only helped make Richard Rodgers (and every passing option for Green Bay) that much more accessible for owners who are in the hunt. Be the forward thinker here, he's shown that he gets looks in the red zone and that will always play.
Rodgers finished the Week 8 game with four targets, second best on the team, for two receptions and 16 yards. Aaron Rodgers was dying back there thanks to the pressure generated by the Broncos’ pass rush, and Richard Rodgers had to stay in to help block. Of course, no receiver was going to post a good day in that Sunday night game. The Packers get to travel to Carolina to face the Panthers’ strong defense in Week 9, so it may be another poor week for Rodgers and the Packers’ offense, but the Panthers are still mortal compared to what the Broncos have been doing. Once they are past that, they get to beat up on the Lions in Week 10, and you’ll want every piece of that that you can get.
