Jacob Tamme: Short Term Tight End Help

ANALYSIS: Jacob Tamme has strung together some good games and is now coming off of a bye week his ownership dropped by 5%. In Tamme’s last two games he has 22 targets, good for 16 receptions, 164 yards and a touchdown. He has only scored once all year, but it’s still worth noting that his usage has increased lately. There seems to be a clear indicator to all of this.

The kicker is keeping an eye on Leonard Hankerson's availability for the Falcons going into Week 11. He turned in a limited practice on Monday according to beat writers. Tamme's best games have come when Leonard Hankerson is inactive. Now perhaps Tamme has earned some more looks and schemes given how well he's done when they give him the ball, but that's difficult to bank on if Hankerson is active and operating out of the slot where Tamme had been running most of his routes. He's a watch list type right now, but if you're in a deeper league and he's available you should scoop him up, and should Hankerson be activated for Sunday then you’ll want to consider having a Plan B. The Falcons also face the tough Panthers defense in Weeks 14 and 16, which usually correlate with the first round and championship round of the fantasy playoffs. Beware, but he might be able to get you to the playoffs before the Panthers defense rolls into their world.
