ANALYSIS: It appears the Jets have finally found a really nice way to utilize Powell out of the backfield. He is showing some strength in his runs and his usually reliable set of hands in the passing game. With defenses trying their best to key in on Marshall and Decker, Powell can take advantage of the linebackers in coverage and trickle out in the face of blitzes. Powell's previous two games looked like this: 13 targets, catching eight of them for 91 yards and a touchdown, and then 46 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches (all targets were caught). This most recent game against the stingy Cowboys defense saw him rush the ball six times for 25 yards and a touchdown while catching all seven targets for 54 yards. The Jets will face the Patriots and Bills in the last two weeks. In PPR leagues he's definitely worth it if you need some help, and he's looking like a viable low end flex play in standard leagues as well. The Patriots are somewhat difficult to run over, so Powell may be called on to run some nifty routes and screen passes.
