The Cut List - Players on the Chopping Block (Week 11)

As the season wears on, this list will feature more name brand players that you may have trouble letting go. Peyton Manning owners remember all too well how a big name can derail an entire season if you refuse to accept that he simply no longer has value. The names on this list no longer have fantasy value.

Each week from now until the end of the season, I’ll be offering my thoughts on players who don’t deserve to keep a roster spot on your fantasy football teams. Below are my Week 11 cuts and drops for fantasy football.

Let's get to it.

Players to Consider Dropping or Replacing

Jermaine Kearse (WR, NYJ)

The Jets number two WR has failed to reach double digit fantasy points in six games this season, including his last four. He is behind not only Robby Anderson, but Austin Seferian-Jenkins in the pecking order. Since he is on the Jets, his touchdown upside is limited. Although he's had some usable games, he hasn't caught more than four passes since week 1 and the last time he was even useful was week 7. With the Jets on bye, there is no reason to hold onto Kearse.

C.J. Anderson (RB, DEN)

None of the Broncos RBs are fantasy viable. Whether it's Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler, or inevitably Paxton Lynch out there, the Broncos are an offensive wasteland. C.J. Anderson posted 15 fantasy points in week 4 and 30 fantasy points in week 2. Otherwise, he hasn't cracked double digits. There just isn't a compelling reason to hold onto an untalented RB in a three way timeshare on a bad offense with a bad QB with over half a season of unhelpful performances.

Seahawks Running Backs

The Seahawks cannot run the ball. At all. Whether it's Eddie Lacy, Thomas Rawls, or C.J. Prosise, they just go nowhere. J.D. McKissic is the most talented of the bunch, but he will never see the volume needed to be fantasy viable. Lacy is fat. Rawls is terrible. Prosise probably sustained another injury while you were reading this. Just drop them all.

Will Fuller (WR, HOU)

Since Deshaun Watson went down, Will Fuller has posted four catches for 47 yards. That's across two games. Tom Savage cannot support two fantasy viable WRs and DeAndre Hopkins certainly isn't going to be the guy taking a back seat. Now, in addition to having to deal with Savage, Fuller has cracked ribs and will miss at least one game. Weeks 13 and 14 are the only two weeks you would even consider using Fuller going forward. It is hard to come up with a compelling reason to hang onto him.

Bilal Powell (RB, NYJ)

Sadly, Bilal Powell is not going to be that guy that won fantasy leagues in 2016. Powell hasn't scored a touchdown since week 4 when he posted 29 fantasy points against the Jaguars. He has just one other double digit week. He truly hit rock bottom last week when he managed just 2.6 fantasy points despite Matt Forte's absence. With a week 11 bye upcoming, it's hard to envision Powell suddenly coming into fantasy value over the final handful of weeks.

Tarik Cohen (RB, CHI)

He was an exciting option early in the season and is an exciting player. The problem is not him. It's John Fox. How a team so devoid of weapons refuses to use one as explosive as Tarik Cohen is beyond me. Regardless, Cohen is ignored in this offense and hasn't been a startable fantasy option since week 3. He probably should've been on this list a couple weeks ago.
