Dejounte Murray Posts a Solid Line in Surprise Start
7 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray made a surprising start ahead of Tony Parker on Sunday in a loss to Indiana. The 21-year-old had a good all-around performance with 28 minutes of action, scoring eight points on 3-for-8 shooting, missing his only three-point shot but making both free throws. Murray did a great job on the boards, grabbing seven rebounds, and he also helped out with four assists, three steals and a block. Time will tell if the tweak was just a one-off thing, as postgame head coach Gregg Popovich wasn't willing to commit to Murray as his new starting point guard.
