James Johnson Plays Well With Second Unit
7 years agoMiami Heat forward James Johnson was moved to the bench Saturday night against the Detroit Pistons, but had his best performance in the past week. Johnson shot 7-for-12 from the field for 18 points to go along with seven assists, five rebounds, three three-pointers and two steals in 29 minutes. This is encouraging for owners as Johnson came into the night averaging 6.3 points over his past three games. Center Hassan Whiteside (illness) was out for this game so the lineups could change again once he returns. Johnson is not playing as well as he was last year and can be frustrating to own due to his inconsistency, but he still has potential to produce across the board. Give Johnson a look if you have an open spot on your standard league roster, but don't hesitate to grab someone else if you prefer more consistency.
