Emeka Okafor Plays Nine Minutes in Pelicans Debut
7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans center Emeka Okafor made his debut on Monday against Utah after signing a 10-day contract over the weekend. He logged nine minutes in his first NBA game since March 2013, finishing with three points and two rebounds. It's always nice to see players making their way back from serious injuries, and Okafor has had many of those, but the days of him being relevant in the NBA are long gone. He's 35 and didn't make any noise in the G-League earlier in the season, but he's getting some minutes in New Orleans right now with the team currently going through a busy stretch.
