7 years agoDallas Mavericks guard Dennis Smith Jr. scored 14 points on 5-for-12 shooting in Friday's win over the Los Angeles Lakers. The rookie also added five rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals. Dallas takes on Houston on Sunday and will be without two guards in their rotation, as Wesley Matthews (back) and J.J. Barea (rest) won't play against the Rockets. With power forward Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) also out, Smith could be in line for a good game as the team's second option, though he'll have to do it against a Houston team that ranks in the top 10 for least fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards. Still, the injuries give Smith a solid fantasy floor.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
