7 years agoDallas Mavericks power forward Dwight Powell scored 19 points for Dallas in their 130-123 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. He made eight of his 12 shot attempts and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds to go along with an assist and two steals. With Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) out on Sunday against Houston, Powell could either find himself making a spot start or playing heavy minutes off the bench. With 17 or more points in three of his past four games and strong rebounding numbers as well, Powell could be a good play in deeper formats on Sunday. The Rockets have been strong defensively against big men this season, but the playing time should be there for Powell to mitigate some of that risk.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
