7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward Nikola Mirotic was switched to a bench role before Monday's win over the Pistons, with New Orleans opting for the defensive presence of center Emeka Okafor instead. But the recently-acquired Mirotic still played 29 minutes for the Pelicans and scored 21 points. He made seven of his 16 shot attempts and went 4-for-8 from long range. Mirotic also grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds. New Orleans takes on Lakers on Wednesday, a team that's allowing the 10th most three-pointers per game to opposing power forwards and the ninth most points per game to the position.
