BALLER MOVE: Target ~100
CURRENT ADP: 135
ANALYSIS: Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager will look to bounce back after an uneven 2017 campaign. Seager's numbers were certainly above average; 27 home runs and 88 runs batted in, but he hit a career-low .249. Seager is still a veteran hitter who now has six straight 20-plus home run seasons.
He did an admirable job of driving in runs, slashing .287/.376/.517 with runners in scoring position, but Seager still has room to grow. Seager struggled in the first half of the season, hitting only 10 home runs and slugged a depressing .404. He finished up the season strong, hitting 17 home runs after the All-Star break and slugging a much improved .508, but consistency is certainly lacking.
Seager was a breakout candidate heading into last season after hitting 30 home runs and driving in 99 in 2016. This season his value has slipped a bit and betting on Seager becoming a top-eight third baseman in 2018 will definitely be a calculated risk.
