There are seven games in total tonight, but FanDuel is only pulling players from six games, excluding the Orlando Magic - Philadelphia 76ers contest. Not that big of a deal, but the smaller slate of games means you are not going to be able to mess around when it comes to price. I am avoiding most players in the Heat-Grizzlies game, simply due to the slower pace and that there's a much greater chance it will be a low scoring game. There's also a shadow of inconsistency hovering above both teams playing as well. The Grizzlies are a young squad that depend on Tyreke Evans and usually a young "hot-hand" carrying the team every night, while the Heat play team-oriented basketball that creates streaky fantasy production each night.

That said, Wayne Ellington is the lone player I trust going into this game and that STILL has risk written all over it. First off, go check out his shot chart from this season and it's actually somewhat comical. It's just threes. BUT, another reason I'm going with Ellington as a sleeper pick is because he only made one shot last game. That will change and there's a decent chance he will use this game specifically to try and get back on track. The Grizzlies defense and pace cause a problem, but they still struggle against opposing shooting guards.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kris Dunn - PG, @ MIN ($6,200)

If you are looking for more value in the point guard position, check out Shabazz Napier. I don't like the pick, but he is cheap and has SOME potential. Obviously, I'd rather pay up for Kris Dunn.

So, hopefully Jimmy Butler is ok, but this does cause a problem for the Timberwolves defense. This could have a rallying effect and Minnesota manages to fill the gap, but it won't change opposing point guards from being productive. Jeff Teague is capable on both sides, but he is undersized and Dunn should be able to sweep in on rebounds with ease, giving him increased upside since he still isn't the strongest scorer. His price might seem a little high, especially since he still seems to be coming of his injury, but 32 minutes is a clear indicator he can take on a full workload. Also Consider: Kyrie Irving - PG, @ NY ($7,900)

 

Devin Booker - SG, @ POR ($7,700)

If this pick makes anything clear about today, it's that value is scarce when it comes to guards. The Suns with Elfrid Payton have had this entire new look about them. Devin Booker is passing up more shots, but this doesn't really hurt him knowing how pure of a shooter he is. Their has been increased playmaking and less isolation production among the entire team, but Portland is still head-and-shoulder the better team. Not that the Suns should win this game, but I expect Booker to have another 20+ attempts and I plan for him to hit more than seven shots tonight.

Also Consider: Andrew Wiggins - SG, vs CHI ($6,200)

 

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Evan Turner - SF, at HOU ($3,500)

This is the top value pick of the night. Whenever Evan Turner is at basement-level pricing, you have to go with him. He has a turnaround that makes him a difficult player to guard and he is always facilitating the offense. Turner's production is directly relevant to his minutes so if he can get a few extra minutes against the Suns defense, he's going to produce. He contributes across the board, but there has been a bit of a streak of duds from Turner lately. Hopefully that makes him a lowly-owned player tonight, but even with the duds I won't fade Turner against the Suns.

Also Consider: Kevin Durant - SF, vs OKC ($10,300)

 

Marquese Chriss - PF, at POR ($3,700)

You should always consider playing Marquese Chriss. His track record lately has been spotty at best, but there are few players that are capable of the stat lines Chriss posts. He can hit threes, get blocks and is a nightly double-double threat if he can get the minutes. That has been his problem lately and it stems from poor somewhat poor play. He needs to score for him to get minutes in the rotation. Although he can protect the rim, his defense is still skeptical and he NEEDS to be scoring to be relevant. I will not blame you for fading Chriss because it's hard to say what will happen with the Spurs lineups each night, especially Chriss. Until his minutes become MUCH more consistent, play Chriss with caution. I will suggest putting him in at least one lineup.

Also Consider: Dirk Nowitzki - PF, @ UTA ($5,400)

 

FanDuel DFS Centers

 Zaza Pachulia - C, vs OKC ($3,500)

I don't really want to make this pick but it's hard not to. Zaza Pachulia always has better nights when the game is more significant, and anytime the Warriors take on the Thunder will be one of those occasions. The best thing about picking Pachulia is that his price will do minimal damage if you doesn't produce, but don't be surprised if he posts a modest stat line that barely exceeds projected, but exceeds projected nonetheless. Risk surrounds Pachulia and watching him play you should know that.

Also Consider: Rudy Gobert - C, vs DAL ($8,000)
