To be honest, this slate is really ugly in the early hours of Tuesday. We'll have to hope for news that breaks the slate open, similar to what we got yesterday with the Bulls resting Zach LaVine on the front-end of their back-to-back and with the Hawks not being priced appropriately yet. There are a few options that catch the eye in this regard, each of which will be discussed below, but nothing to the extent of yesterday. Yet. Watch the news from the Clippers in regards to Danilo Gallinari, as he will open up a good chunk of usage in a strong matchup. That's an obvious choice in terms of a game stack on the slate.
LeBron James is my building block for the day and he may be the only true stud I play. Dwight Howard is another potential building block, as is Bradley Beal. However, neither is someone that I feel strongly enough to say I'm locking in at the moment.

FanDuel DFS Guards
Austin Rivers- PG, @DEN ($5,600)
The point guard position is extremely tightly priced, so I will be looking for value to open up throughout the day. However, as it stands, Rivers is one of the safer options on the slate as he has shown a floor of about 24 points since his return from injury. A few things on the slate also hint at giving him some upside as well. The first is that the Clippers travel to Denver, a team that has a 111 defensive efficiency over the entire season and a figure of 115.4 over their past five games. If Danilo Gallinari is ruled out, there be a bump in usage for Rivers in of the higher totals on the slate.
Brad Beal- SG, @MIL ($8,500)
Beal is a luxury on this slate, one that I may have to ditch depending on news throughout the day. However, things set up nicely for him as Milwaukee has gotten torched by guards of late. Although Tomas Satoransky has taken over the starting point guard job in the absence of John Wall, Beal has taken over ball a lot of ball handling responsibilities as evidenced by assist rate jumping nearly 10% over this past 10 games. That leaves him with a significant floor, something that he didn’t have for much of the season. With the matchup against the struggling Bucks' D, there is still upside left at the price. As alluded to at the beginning of this write-up, Beal would be my high-priced option to go if need be, but hopefully there will be news throughout the day to shake some value free.
Lou Williams- SG, @DEN ($7,300)
The reason I’m willing to give up on Beal is the potential to shift down to Lou. The reasons to be optimistic about the Clippers offense as a whole have already been discussed, but Williams would become an elite option if Gallinari is ruled out. His usage rate jumps nearly 5% in the absence of Gallinari, building upside into a price tag that Williams has already shown the ability to return value on on a regular basis.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
LeBron James- SF, vs. BKN ($11,500)
Lebron is the lock of the day for me, and isn’t someone that I’m willing to sacrifice or pivot off of. Brooklyn is reloading with the return of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, something that should help their other porous defense. Still, LeBron has been on an absolute tear as over the past seven games his lowest FD point output is 51.3. He doesn’t have the ceiling of James Harden or Anthony Davis, but right now there aren’t many safer options than LeBron on any slate and certainly this one. He’ll be heavily owned in cash and GPP slates tonight, but there’s no need to get too cute here.
Wilson Chandler- SF, vs. LAC ($5,600)
Chandler has been an enigma over most of the season, but of late, there doesn’t appear to be much mystery to him. Over his past five games, Chandler has seen his usage rate rise 3.3%, his assist rate rise by 2.1%, and rebound rate rise by 3.4%. After a down performance on Sunday, his price has dropped $400 which makes the decision that much easier to look to him as a mid-priced option.
Jabari Parker- PF, vs. WAS ($4,500)
Parker is still hindered by a minutes limit but he did record a season best 24 minutes on Sunday and was much more assertive in finding his shot. One game certainly isn’t a substantial sample size but the choices are uninspiring at the PF position unless you are stacking the Denver-Clippers game and rostering Tobias Harris. Parker comes in well below the average player price, which opens up cash at other spots where there is more obvious differentiation between quality of play as the price goes up.
FanDuel DFS Centers
Marcin Gortat- C, @MIL ($4,700)
Gortat has been a beneficiary of Wall’s absence in a surprisingly similar way to Bradley Beal, as his assist rate has jumped 5.4% over his past five games. That has helped him return exactly 5X on his price over that same span and is a good cash game target as a result. For tournaments, I’d rather pay up for upside and pivot to value elsewhere.
Tournament Pick: Dwight Howard-C vs. CHI ($8,500)
