7 years agoOklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook played well against the Suns on Thursday night. Westbrook scored 27 points on an efficient 11-for-14 shooting from the field in addition to pulling down eight boards and dishing out nine assists. The reigning MVP was effective despite playing only 29 minutes as a result of the insurmountable lead that his squad had over Phoenix towards the end of the game. Westbrook and company will get a day off before meeting the struggling San Antonio Spurs on Saturday for a battle for Western Conference playoff positioning. Expect a more tightly-packed contest between the two clubs, with Westbrook likely taking a minor decrease in fantasy production due to a slower pace of play.
