7 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea scored a very efficient 20 points on Saturday, making eight of his 11 shots from the field and sinking both free-throws in 23 minutes. He also had five rebounds and five assists in his first game with at least 20 points since Dec. 26. Barea's minutes have dropped a bit this month, as he's averaged just 22 in four games, compared to 26.9 last month, but he's a good scorer and the Mavs sparkplug has also nicely provided assists throughout the season, averaging 6.2 dimes. Barea will have a good pace-up spot on Sunday against Houston, but it has to be noted that he was rested the last time Dallas had a back-to-back set with the Rockets as the second opponent.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
